One of the most common mistakes made by students is to answer the question they THINK they are being asked. Another is to go off on a tangent about something relating to the topic because they feel it is more interesting, or they know more about it. BIG MISTAKE! The first thing you need to do when presented with an essay, report or exam topic is read it very carefully. Note two basic things before you start.
If you can dissect the question and then stick to answering exactly what you are being asked, you are on the right track. |
